Senegal, a country on Western-most edge of the African continent with a predominantly Muslim nation of 12 million, has a fully functioning democracy, and has largely escaped incidents of separatist violence that have hampered the progress of several of its neighbours. But Senegal is not without its problems. Its economy has recently faltered, due in part to the relative scarcity of natural resources, and there are suggestions that its cherished tradition of democracy is under threat, with the president allegedly grooming his son to succeed him.

Hey guys this video is very special as first time we are sitting with a Senegalese man and understanding Senegal and the process of freedom they got it in 1960. Here we also understand the potential of Senegalese and its culture.. You will be surprised how a 95% muslim populated country helped a Christian minority in becoming its 1st President. This is worth a watch and worth sharing ..

You know about The Gambia? That little country in West Africa that looks like it's barely more than a river? That awkwardly cuts off Senegal? Why is it a separate country?

Real or fake? That has been the question surrounding these creatures. Many people believe that mermaids are nothing more than fairytale and mythical creatures, while some people do believe that they truly exist on this planet. Over the years many people have tried to find proof and some partly succeeded, but there are the ones that do believe they saw the real thing and nothing else. So here are the 10 Times Real Mermaids Were Found.

From Phalombe, Mulanje, Thyolo to Chiradzulu in one day. This was one of the best days on the road, it was bit challenging as we spent so much on the road but the moments were memorable.

Phalombe is located about 44 kilometres (27 mi), by road, north-east of Mulanje, along the T408 Road. Phalombe's location is vulnerable for flash floods, which can easily occur during the rainy season. The most devastating one in recent history occurred in March 1991. Along the Phalombe-Mulanje Road, is a Catholic mission consisting of a Catholic church and the Holy Family Hospital. The hospital is run by locals in association with the Dutch charity Memisa and is staffed by Malawian clinical officers as well as Dutch tropical doctors. Holy Family Nursing College is attached to the hospital.

Mulanje is a town in the Southern Region of Malawi, close to the border with Mozambique, to the east. Mulanje is a tourist attraction and serves as a staging base for climbers who want to scale Mount Mulanje or those who want to explore the countryside at its base. Tea is mostly grown in Mulanje and the view is amazing when you passing the field.

Thyolo is a town located in the Southern Region of Malawi. It is the administrative capital of Thyolo District. Traditional Authority Mphuka in Thyolo District is one of the 10 Traditional Authorities in Thyolo District in Malawi. The Famous Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) is a public university in Thyolo in South Malawi. It was established on 17 December 2012. MUST opened doors in March 2014. it is one of the development under the late Bingu Wa Munthalika.

Chiradzulu is a town in Malawi, It is famous because it is where the home and church of John Chilembwe is located. It was the site of European farming settlement. The Chiradzulu area has played a prominent role in Malawian history. It was where Livingstone helped Bishop Mackenzie found the Church of Scotland’s short-lived Magomero Mission in 1861. The largest farm in the Chiradzulu area was later bought by one Mr. Bruce, a stepson of Livingstone, and was managed by another member of the clan, Willian Livingstone – who would be decapitated in front of his family during the 1915 rebellion initiated by Chiradzulu’s most famous son, the Reverend John Chilembwe.

The Providential y an active mission with several points of historical interest. It lies near Mbombwe trading centre, 5km east of the Limbe-Chiradzulu road, along a signposted dirt road starting close to Chiradzulu Secondary School. Today, John Chilembwe is celebrated as a hero of independence, and John Chilembwe Day is observed annually on January 15 in Malawi.

Residents of Iriani village in Chuka Sub County on Thursday morning woke up to a rare spectacle when a witch performed magic in public.

The renowned witch popularly known as Njua, had been called by bodaboda operators of Chuka town to perform his black magic so that they could know the person who killed one of them whose body was found dumped in a maize farm on Wednesday morning.

Mr Njua, aged about 80, arrived at crime scene carrying a black bag full of paraphernalia and in company of his helper.

On arrival he slaughtered a black goat that had been brought by the deceased kins before proceeding with the ritual.

The witch went on, undressed, and remained with only a black short before removing his items from the bag arranging them in a style.

He then drunk some liquid with his helper put in a long decorated horn before sharing it with the specific bodaboda operators who had contacted him.

Mr Njua warned that the men who took the drink must not share a bed with their wives for a period of seven days scaring hundreds of onlookers who had gathered to witness.
