We were so happy to visit Morocco Animal Aid, an organization that helps any animal that needs care. This special place has over 300 animals that they love and support. Morocco Animal Aid is located in Ourir near Agadir, Morocco and anyone is welcome to go and visit as well as volunteer. It is important that by living positive, purposeful lives that we extend that love to all beings including animals. The dogs that we met when we were at Morocco Animal Aid are so lucky to have so much love around them from the beautiful people who work there. A Moroccan snake charmer Abdallah and his nephew Abbas go to the desert of Morocco in search of the venomous reptiles. Not even the deadliest snakes can make the two flinch, for the two men adore these reptiles.

They tame the snakes they capture, and put them on display at Jemaa el-Fnaa square to earn a living while sharing the marvels of snakes with the passersby of Moroccan streets.

We are really excited to release a teaser to our upcoming documentary.

This clip is from the last 2 days covering MAA being notified of 2 injured dogs in Taghazout, them being collected, taken to the vet and eventually bought home.
The two boys injured from fighting both needed to go under anaesthetic, one needing an amputation. We were able to castrate and vaccinate both boys. They will need at least 2 weeks with us, antibiotics and healthy nutritious food to support their recovery.
Their bill was 5300dh (€530).

Recently proclaimed a masterpiece of the oral and intangible heritage of humanity, Jemaa el-Fna Square in Marrakesh is one of the most popular touristic spots in Morocco. That square is the stage for a long-established ritual in which shifting circles of onlookers gather around folk musicians, storytellers, acrobatic animals, and snake charmers. Among those workers, Barbary apes, cobras, horned desert vipers or Montpellier snakes have all been taken from their natural habitat and are exhibited by their masters for a handful of dirhams. Where do these animals come from? What are there specificities? How do they live in the wild? From the snowy forests of Atlas cedars to the hot desert of Southern Morocco, with the help of two renowned naturalists, we will discover these fascinating animals in their natural environment. For one whole year, we will share the lives of Morocco’s last free-roaming Barbary apes (a unique endangered primate species struggling to survive in the snow of the Ifrane National Park) and try to observe the rarest and most dangerous reptiles of the Western Sahara desert, on the border of Algeria and Mauritania.
